Hey AK Wild fans,
We would like to apologize for the recent reports about the team. There will not be a player
strike. The game is still on for Sunday May 11th, as the Alaska Wild will play the Louisiana
Swashbucklers. There will be changes in the organization, details to be announced soon
(Check out the Alaska Wild Coaches on 96.3 fm the Wolf this Wednesday). The AK Wild
would like to thank the fans in and around the city of Anchorage for the love and support.

Around the IFL
A letter from the Vice President of the IFL:
I know that most of you are unaware of the situation in San Angelo so I wanted to take just a moment and brag on a
few of people in the IFL. It seems like we communicate more often when there is a conflict between teams and I
wanted to make everyone aware of this situation:
Because of the polygamy situation that I am sure you have all heard about, 419 children needed housing and the
state of Texas chose the San Angelo coliseum for the job. This left Darlene Jones, owner of the San Angelo Stampede-
Express, with less than 10 days to figure out what to do for her next game. Knowing it would be a financial loss, Chad
Dittman, owner of the Corpus Christi Hammerheads, the Fairbanks Grizzlies and IFL President, offered to house the
game at his expense! All of the plans were laid out and Mr. Dittman was willing to do this for Ms. Jones and the
league.
